Hi there, I have a new client who does mat pilates 3 times a week mixed with Power Plate sessions. She has commented to me that she has put on weight since she started pilates 3 weeks ago and is adamant that she has not altered her diet in any way. She is quite heavy in the hip area but very tight in the hip extensors. We have done a lot of stretching of the hip and knee extensors in the past two weeks. She is now claiming her hips look wider and she is heavier. In my 4 years training and teaching I have never come across this. Any suggestions?

it might be the Power Plate...I felt like I got bigger doing it, so I cut it out of my routine.
