Pilates Community Forum > Have you adjusted your cancellation policy this winter due to H1N1?

I'm curious how everyone else is faring in this cold & flu season. Have your cancellations increased this year? Are you adjusting your cancellation policy?

I train at an employer-owned facility, where the company is highly encouraging people to either work from home or call in sick if they are at all under the weather. So, my cancellation rate is WAY up this year --- 20%.

If a cancellation is health related, I'm giving everyone a pass this season, simply because I'd rather not catch the flu myself. I'm crossing my fingers that all the admin & marketing projects that I'm working on in the off-time balance this out in the end.

I think that if Joe could survive a Pandemic by encouraging a daily participation in his exercise system than so can I. I reviewed that interesting part of Joe's history with my clients and encouraged them to do 100 breaths a day to keep the H1N1 away. I happy to report only 1 case so far.

As far as a cancellation policy...it's just not how I choose to do business. Things happen; instead of penalizing people, I look forward to putting that open time to good use.
