Socks in the Studio

The New York Times included a review of Pilates socks in today’s Fashion & Style section (written by Pilates Pro’s own Jessica Cassity). Gina Papalia, owner of Grasshopper Pilates in New York, tested five pairs—each designed to grip the machines—for comfort and performance. Her favorite? Adidas Core Fitness Sock ($8 at Adidas stores).

I have found that the "soul support" sock, whcih was sold at the last Pilates convention in Miami is GREAT> Only $4.50 a pair. You can find them through a rep at 954-920-4588

The adidas socks are only available in Adidas retail stores. Most stores will have the socks in stock on November 15. If there isn't a store in your area, try calling the Adidas superstore in New York at 212-529-0081. I believe they take phone orders.

The Adidas socks didn't work so well. I kept slipping. I just ordered the ToeSox which my private pilates instructor recommended. I bought them on ebay.
