Pilates Pro Newsfeed: Advice for Entrepreneurs
Top Story: Alycea Ungaro, founder of Real Pilates, was profiled recently by Ladies Who Launch. Ungaro details her journey from injury-plagued ballerina to founder of the largest Pilates studio in New York City. She credits her “great team” with her success and says, “My other secret weapon is the written word. I read everything I can get my hands on about Pilates.”
For those who want to get certified or open their own studio, Ungaro says, “My mantra for the past few years is, ‘It’s about the relationship.’ No matter what, always preserve the relationship above all else. Whether it’s a client you’re losing, or someone who you don’t think can help you… if you put the relationship above the outcome, you always win.”
